The Telluride’s optional 2.5 turbo 4-cylinder hybrid produces 29 more horsepower (329 vs. 300) and 28 lbs.-ft. more torque (339 vs. 311) than the GV80 2.5T’s standard 2.5 turbo 4-cylinder.

On the EPA test cycle the Telluride gets better mileage than the GV80:

Regenerative brakes improve the Telluride Hybrid’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The GV80 doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Kia Telluride may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 300 to 350 pounds less than the Genesis GV80.

Standard Trailer Stability Assist on the Telluride uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The GV80 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

On a hot day the Telluride’s driver can lower all the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the GV80 can’t use the remote to operate the windows.

The Kia Telluride stands out above the Genesis GV80 by offering not one, but two Qi-compatible phone chargers. This convenience helps travelers with multiple devices to keep powered up on-the-go. Wireless charging eliminates lost or cluttered charging cables and one of them provide more flexibility.
